Okay total noob here but… I’m looking to add some poke to my 2008 Tacoma with a 2.5 inch leveling kit. I’ve been looking at the Moto Metal MO962 18x10 with -24 offset. Anyone running them atm? What’s the absolute smallest tire I could get by with for these wheels? Any rubbing issues? Thanks

Well since anything smaller than a 285 is probably not recommended to be mounted on a 10” wide wheel you better get ready to cut some stuff. Rubbing with that set up is 100%.

Interesting, just watched a Custom Offsets vid and they’re on a 2.5 inch level, running 275/65’s on the exact same rim with no cutting necessary.

CustomOffsets is in the business of selling wheels and tires. No cutting is ever necessary and it never rubs or very minor.

I looked up 10 manufacturers and not one recommended putting a 275 on a wheel wider than 9” the standard was 7.5-9”.

Email’d with Discount Tire and they said “That tire size (275/65/18) will absolutely work on that width rim.”

Sure it will I didn’t say it wouldn’t . I said the manufacturer of the tire recommended nothing wider than 9”. There’s a reason for that but hey you do you and let us know how it turns out.

It will fit but give that goofy stretched tire look.
