2021 Tacoma TRD Pro center cap problems

Who all has had a problem with the center caps on 2021 Tacoma TRD Pro, or any recent tacoma center caps? Bought this truck used, 1 previous owner. One center cap has fallen off and is missing after we’ve been driving truck just over 3 months and less than 4,000 miles put on by us, and 2 more were loose and shaky. 1 was on tight and seemed fine. Called local dealership to see if caps would be covered since truck has under 30,000 miles on it. Went in and was told the caps are damaged is why one is off and gone, and that they could not get one of the 3 that was on to go back on and stay on, but it was on when I drove truck in to them. So they obviously broke too many clasps on the back for it to go back on and stay on. From other things I’ve read in some of these forums it looks like these center caps are made cheap and faulty and the flimsy clasps on the back are getting snapped at the dealerships when being taken off and put back on. Dealership that broke the only one that was on tight and seemed fine, won’t even replace the one they broke. Said they were all damaged. Obviously, they damaged it since it was on and was the only one not loose when I had them look at them. Toyota should step up and cover these and redesign them if their dealerships can’t even take them off and put them back on without the cheap flimsy clasps on the back breaking. This truck was a 1 owner before us and all services had been performed at the Stokes dealership in South Carolina. We haven’t even driven it enough for it to need serviced yet. Did have local Sand Mountain Toyota dealership rotate and balance tires, and that’s when they broke clasps on back side of only tight fitting center cap out of the 3 on our truck, and told us all were damaged and would not be covered, so we would need to purchase them at $45 each. I’m thinking what a waste that would be, to buy more cheap flimsy center caps that when we bring it back to be serviced they will just break the clasps on the back of the new ones and tell us that we would have to replace them yet again. Called in to Toyota customer service and was told that since these were damaged and not a manufacture defect that they could not cover them and that they have no idea what forums say about the caps, just that there is no recall on them. I wish enough people that have had problems with these cheap faulty made caps would call in complaints until they would recall them. From what I’ve seen trying to buy replacements online myself, the original part # isn’t even offered anymore. It now has a replacement part #. Which means they very well know that there is a problem with how they are made. Why else would they already have a replacement part when the part is less than 2 years old. Completely unsatisfied with Toyota customer service and Sand Mountain Toyota.
