Just bought a used base 2013 with 215/70r15 tires. My speedometer is reading 5mph over my actual speed. I'm using Google maps and another app which have been accurate on 3 other vehicles I've tried.
Any idea what could cause this?

Are the tires/wheels bigger than stock?

I put 235/70/15 tires on my 13 base model automatic 2.7 an it reads right now, it was off one way or the other when I got it. I have tried 235/75/15 tires which made the reading off, and lost power with the taller tires. The 235/70 work good.

215/70r15 is stock from what I can find. Larger tires would make it show slower anyway

Correct, larger tires would make speedo register slower.....assuming rear gears (or complete axle) have not been changed to a numerically higher ratio.

Jack up the rear, mark the drive shaft and count number of turns for one full revolution of wheel.

Exactly. You said it was fast......

235 75 15 here and everything below 60 is perfect. 60 and up to legal speeds is 1- 2 slow
