Nope. In my line of work I’ve seen it several times. And I’ve had to be the one to scoop up the little bits that are left of people.

Motorola dongle is great. It's very convenient to jump in the truck, and it connects right up within say 20sec. You can set AA to pickup playing media where it left off.
Outstanding integration with the steering wheel controls. Hands free texting and access to Google Assistant.

Hate the lane assist. Like most everything else. BSM is great but I never trust it and look anyway.

If there is one thing I could have it would be that adaptive cruise control (radar cruise control). I am jealous of it in my wife's C-RV and any other vehicle I drive with it.

Man I love the auto-High beams. Always have the best lighting in your view and never accidentally blind someone. Same thing with radar cruise. I love it. Why fiddle with + and - of the speed when traffic thickens, just let the radar adjust your speed and then it auto resumes as soon as you pull out to pass or traffic clears.

Agreed. I don't normally like nanny systems, but I actually don't mind the BSM.

I'm still getting convex mirrors though, because I like the visual confirmation. I'm in Canada, where our trucks get dirty in the winter, which can interfere with the sensors, so I don't want because dependant on the technology.

The lane departure warning is off, though.

    - I turn off traction control, and vehicle stability control each time I get in the truck. I'd like to find a way to disable it automatically (without permanently disabling it). In my 2nd gen, it was so sensitive that it kicked in just turning into the driveway during the winter (haven't driven the 3rd gen in winter yet). I also feel like I get better fuel economy, and better throttle response with it off, but I can't tell if I'm imagining it.

    - BSM is on, but lane departure is off.

    - I don't use cruise control, so no worries about the radar cruise control.

    - I'm looking at replacing the headlight switch so that I can turn off the automatic headlights.

    - Haven't had the opportunity to test the automatic high beams. I like the idea of them, as long as they're programed better than the automatic headlights.

    - The screen on the radio gets shut off at night (I wish there was a switch for that).

    - Wireless charger is useless, so it's off.

    - Ripped off the tab that connects the gas cap to the gas door.

    To Do:
Most of this will have to wait until the warranty expires.

    - Install an off switch for the backup camera.

    - Install an off switch for the door chimes, so I can listen to music with the door open.

    - Disable the seatbelt warning.

    - Disable the lights in the steering wheel, and door buttons (if possible).

    - I'd like to see if there's a way to dim the dashboard lights below their current lowest setting. I find all this blue light to be incredibly hard on my middle-aged eyes. Barring that, I'd like to either switch them out to red, or disable everything but the gauges, and the climate control lighting .

    - Disable the light in the wireless charger cubby.

    - Replace the auto-dimming mirror with the old fashioned kind with the lever. The OEM one isn't cheap, though.

    - I'd like to see if there's a way to install a switch to turn off the LCD screen behind the steering wheel.

    - Satellite radio will not be renewed once the free trial ends.

How do you turn off the seatbelt alarm? Even my dog sets it off.

The dealership can do it, but rumour has it that some won't. I haven't asked mine yet. If not, I'll just see if anybody here in town has the carista app, and offer a case of beer to do it. I'm not sure if it would be worth paying for the hardware & subscription, just to turn one thing off.

It’s $20 or $30 and comes with a free month. I justified it because I do my own 5 tire rotation and reprogram TPMs sensors every 5k for a $10 subscription that I cancel after I’m done. Otherwise may or may not be worth it to change a couple of settings

That's how my second gen was. It still dinged 3 times, it just didn't go into nagging mode. I can live with that.

It was nice being able to do it yourself, though.
