I like those a lot. There's is an "as is" one at my LGS that needs some work, was thinking of getting. Just to to many damn projects. That's a sweet guitar though.

I spent yester day recrowning my frets and polishing them. They didn't really need a recrown, but I got a new tool I wanted to see if it could sharpen up the peak and oh did it. I also polished them to a mirror finish with a dremel ( usually I stop at 15,000 grit micro fiber), but again just wanted to see if it's worth the extra step. Once I get it strung up I'll report back.

Which tool? I like a sharp peak... Stainless #6115 is my favorite fretwire.

Ya dood, it's been 4 days, how long is max time before restring, does the neck need adjustment after a no string period?

Stewmac compact z file. 300 grit.

Before I used a modified three sided file the old school way.

I very much like the Stewmac one. Worth every penny. Works great once you get the hang of it. Got a nice hair line peak.

So to report back of the recrown and mirror polish of frets, guitar plays fantastic! Was well worth the effort.

Really depends on how much you are playing and your personal preference. Maybe once a month sometimes two if I'm playing a guitar a lot. Acoustics I'm more picky about because they sound so brite with new stings.

I usually don't have to do a neck adjustment unless I am changing the gauge of string. Humidy and temperature are the biggest reason I have to adjust the relief.

Any one play a Harmony Rocket? Looking for a hollowbody. I see those pop up, would be a good project guitar.

There was a side music thread that for awhile I used to post Obscure Canadian Bands music that most of the South of the 49th peeps wouldn't know...I enjoy the :canada: angle of it...well, I was today years old when I tripped over these guys. They are from 15 miles from where I live and delivered this 10 or so years ago.

With no further delay...Obscure Canadian Band. Glass Ampp "In my head"

    I'm talking real obscure

    Nice!

I like the use of Gotoh. I have those tuners on almost all of my electrics.

Was wondering if anyone had an accurate wiring diagram for:
    Jackson dinky
    HSS
1 volume 1 tone, no splitting
    5 way switch

Its a japanese dinky I got used. Has been rode hard and put away wet. Sounds like garbage, someone has poorly replaced pots and wiring.

I got brand new kaisch 5 way switch, and 2 500k pots. Every diagram I look up on google is different. This 5 way switch has all terminals in a row

    Thanks if anyone can help

Not Jackson specifically, but Seymour Duncan is a good resource for wiring diagrams

All this talk about "vintage output" can't help but make me think of when Metalocalypse tries to learn the blues. They literally can't play anything slow hahaha!
