I have an 02 base tacoma 2WD. The line from proportioning valve(LSPV) is leaking near valve due to corrosion. My questions are.
    1) Will a line i can get from toyota fish thru without dropping the tank?
    2) Can i cut rubber coated line and install a metal compression connector ?
    3) Do i have to double flair and install a union ?
    4) Will that rubber coating and PVC coating come off of the line ?

What is best way to fix this line ?

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
    Replace the whole line!

I snake lines behind the fuel tank all the time. *** Tape the end to keep the dirt out.

Compression fitting will not pass inspection here in Pa

All our flared brake connections are double flared.

I have never been able to double flare used brake lines after years exposed to the weather.

    Update on repair.
    Thanks to all that replied.!!!!!
I fixed it something like guy in the video. I cut into good no rust line about 8" in front of
that LSPV valve. I cleaned off the plastic coating and used a nice double flair tool like guy in video and
put in a safe legal union using that 3/16" nickel copper cable from Amazon. Great stuff bends nice.
I had to tighten nut on LSPV hard to seal it good.

I checked other line and connections in front they are OK for now not rusted severe like the little line that burst.
I got the little one from toyota and swapped it out $12. But then i noticed the other one leaking a little.
and the one i fixed. I painted the little rust spots black .

The best way to fix this is to run 2 new lines front to back and connect. But other lines are not perfect either.
If i was to rebuild this truck all the lines would be replaced with that copper nickel stuff.

One thing i learned. When you press brake pedal and E-brake is on the pressure is higher at rear.
That is what burst my little line in back and my other line leaked more when i had e-brake on and had friend
push brake to see how much it is leaking.

For now i am happy and feel safe !!!!

    02 tacoma 2WD 245K 5spd manual runs like a clock.
19 tacome 4WD TRD off road 6sp manual 47K its ok
No torque at low rpm. Too much fuel at speeds above 70MPH( I know why it sits high and is really meant for off road)

I like the old one better !!!!!!
