Before I start taking stuff apart to diagnose this squeak, could anyone take a look/listen to guide me in the right direction? Squeaks when I wiggle the wheel and when driving straight/slow. Usually occurs only after driving for 10-15 minutes. Gracias

EDIT: UCA ball joints needed grease

I didn't think the shocks would squeak so loud with little/no movement. Did you confirm it's not coming from something else?

It’s either my UCA needs to be rebuilt or it’s the spherical bearings in the kings that need to be replaced, from what ive gathered

Cool. My kings are only 2 months old so ill look into my UCAs. They've got 40000 hard miles on them. Squeak sounds like it's coming from the tierod area though.

It's not the shock bearings or UCA bolt, squeak can be heard from about 50yds away

No clue. Maybe the delta joint, maybe the tie rod. Didn't have time to take everything apart this weekend

Sounds like LBJ. Try to replicate it with tire off the ground. While jacked up, use a pry bar to try and separate the lower ball joint. It should be tight, no up/down movement. LBJ boot should be relatively clean, if it has grease on it, it's leaking.

Usually it's a ball joint (upper or lower), when you can make the noise just by turning.

30k miles on mine. I've greased constantly and taken my Icon UCAs completely apart twice now. loud squeak will go away for a little while then returns louder than ever. i don't know if new bushings would fix the problem or not, but i hate to throw money at these things putting in new bushings, etc. to wind up in the same place again. suggestions?

Just installed a set and after 100mi they creak at low speeds turning and articulating. Liberally greased everything (lucas HD grease)

I have Icon Delta Joint UCAs and am frustrated with how much work they are to maintain. I grease the delta joint with moly grease and the upper bushings with Superlube, which means maintaining two grease guns and two kinds of grease. This is done every tire rotation (5k miles) but they start squeaking again like at 3k miles. The upper bushings I have to detach the long 19mm bolt and torque to 85ft lbs each time, and there isn't a ton of room to get up in there. In other words, its a pain in the ass. I know I sound like a complainer and that performance comes with a price, but just know what you are getting into with these things.

    They sure are pretty though...
