Good morning everyone, be safe and have a great and blessed Tuesday.

 

We had some good storms the past few days as well. The youngest sent me this yesterday morning. Seems he picked up a hitchhiker on his way to work. There was a tree down and it was raining hard enough that visibility was poor. We got everything pulled out, returned to where it should be and used a few zip ties and a bit of hot wire to put things back together. As my father used to say "it's a long way from her heart".

 

Glad that’s the only thing that happened..

Morning all. More hail last night. Most were around quarter size to golf ball size. I did however notice some about the size of a lemon sprinkled in there fir flavor. Guess I'll be checking up on the roof after work.

 

Just was a heavy rain event for us, we did have tornado watch though

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued an Excessive Heat Warning in your area for Tuesday, June 27th from 10 A.M. until 8 P.M. The weather forecast indicates that high humidity levels will result in heat index values – that is, temperatures that “feel like” – up to 120 degrees on Tuesday. Dangerously hot temperatures likely to continue through the remainder of the week.

The unsung hero here is the little 18 volt Makita chainsaw, 4 full batteries worth of cutting.

The town highway department fellows came along as I was working on the big stuff - really too heavy for the Makita.

"Do you want me to cut that up?".

 

About 5 hours on that project...

There is more stuff down scattered all over the back yard but I was out of go power so I mowed for 2-1/2 hours.

I'm hurtin' & movin' slow.
You know you earned the shower when the water is dark by your feet.

I drove 30 minutes and could barely walk when I got outta the truck.

The smallest engine available was the "Rocket" 350, optional were the 400 & 455, all excellent engines.

 

It was in good condition

I can drive for hours , be a bit stiff when I get out but it passes quickly.

Running the chipper alone is very walking intensive, realistically I probably only use 5% of the machines capacity as I spend most of my time walking to get more material to chip.

The walking is what troubles me most anymore...
