My abs light has been on for 5 years never had an issue with it not working. Was replacing the uppers and broke a sensor off is this going to be a problem? Or will it just function like it did before. 4x4 2002 double cab TRD.

If the light been on for 5 years, the system was probably not working. So I wouldn't worry about it

Thanks yeah I could never figure out the actual problem and gave up. But with the sensor snapping off trying to get the upper ball joints out I just wanted to make sure it’s not going to mess with anything.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
It is good here in Pa ABS brakes do not need to work to pass the safety inspection.

    Unless it changed .

Think abs is a really good thing, especially on trucks....

However when they near a quarter of a century old, I would watch it...

First sign of weirdness I would disable....

But I'm old, slowest one on the road, panic stops are not even possible for me.....

A new set of tires will beat the shit out of any abs.....
