What about the sunroof glass? I had a student who did my wife's Subaru years ago and he said it's ok as long as you use the right film. I think he said the glass can break otherwise here in Arizona.

Would appreciate any opinions/experience with sunroof tint please? Thanks!

    Itz JDM tyte, yo!
    Yes for tint.

This is 35% tint on the front side windows. Close match, just a bit lighter than the rear factory privacy glass.

I got llumar lvl 2 on all 5 windows and windshield paid over $550
My AC is on steroids now:thumbsup:
Every window is protected & I have that “I’m in the shade” feeling while driving again with some tint I enjoy. I work outside for years now and I swear I developed eye sensitivity to UV/sunlight/headlights etc

An non-tinted sunroof is a useless sunroof IMHO.

Had all of mine tinted in TN and Co, never an issue.

I had to go check my wife's 2017 Elantra...her sunroof is tinted from the factory.

The rest of her windows are not tinted at all.

With my state tint waiver, any vehicle I drive (that has my name in the registration) can be tinted. That means I need to get her car tinted.

The rears and back window were already tinted on my Sport.

I got the front windows tinted the same shade as the rears and all window guards installed for $160.

Was I expecting too much from ceramic on the windshield? I did it in XPEL XR Blue 80 and, although I know it's a light shade, I expected more. Stuff isn't cheap either. The sides were already done since I basically bought the truck and non-ceramic in a 20%. So aside from overall heat in the cabin, my area of focus has been on the dashboard. Honestly doesn't feel like it's any cooler than pre-ceramic tint w/ nothing on it.

Probably high expectations. The windshield alone is what ... 25-30% of the total glass sq ft on the truck. If the windshield is the only portion of the truck with ceramic tint, I would not expect a large difference in feel.

I have nothing on the windshield yet, but the rest of the truck is 15 or 20% ceramic and made a huge difference. This is coming directly out of a subaru forester (fishbowl) of 15% non-ceramic into the tacoma and immediately tinting it after purchase. I would guesstimate tinting my vehicles here in colorado cut the heat by 25% and the ceramic tint cuts its by another 20% more .... i feel like my tacoma is close to 50% cooler than before.

My blind-ass guess would be ceramic tint of 80% on the windshield might add maybe an additional 10% improvement.

Where I really noticed the improvement was with how slowly the truck heats up in the sun with ceramic tint. When I park on a 100* colorado day, its still cool-ish after 15 minutes, where as before it seemed to heat up nearly immediately.

    Just my $0.01
