So I'm in a bit of a tight spot at the moment. My fuel pump on my 2013 went out last week (unbelievable at only 70k miles!). So I dropped the tank over the weekend, put a new pump in today, and got the tank back in the truck without issue up until now.

But now I've got all my lines hooked back up except the vent hose to the charcoal canister. I had next to no issue getting it disconnected, but I can't get it hooked back up to save my life. Anyone got any tips?

It's this hose below in red.

Have you tried putting a bit of grease or vaseline on it?

I think I'll give that a shot in the morning. I was worried about getting it too greasy to get a good hold on, but it seems like I'm out of other options.

You don't need much, just a bit on the fitting to help the O-Ring slide.

I didn't even realize there was an O-ring in the connector, that must have been what I was getting stuck on. A little Sil-glyde and it popped on without issue and my truck is back on the road.

    Thanks a ton!
