for those of you who have a non-BT truck and installed BT, have any of you been successful in finding the panel between the map lights in the overhead that has the slits in it for the mic?

i would like to stash my mic in there, but i have the solid trim piece. and when i looked online it appears you cant buy that little part by itself, you have to buy the whole overhead console, for around $140.00.

whats the back of your overhead console look like? I would say you could get a cheap tweeter grill cover and stick it in a hole and call it good.

Obviously a little attention to detail or color matched paint and it would look ok.

its open enough for me to mount my kenwood mic in there...
that is a fantastic idea, if the tweeter grill has a flange i could dremmel it and mount the grill. i would have never thought of that. prob would work better too

at least it would be a hell of a lot cheaper than the OEM overhead console.
