He’s been helpful and more correct than most others, but he was given some bad info regarding new Tacoma powertrains. Specifically when a popular automotive news outlet reported 2.4T and 2.4T Hybrid as only two powertrains would be offered as provided by their sources. He came off as they were wrong and that they need to do better job of vetting their sources and we’d see 2.7 and 3.5 carryover for at least 2-3 model years in addition to 2.4. That rhetoric was pushed for awhile, but you can find his posts over the internet retracting such as citing being provided bad intel which forced him to save face on that particular topic. Obviously in the industry, but not perfect either.

If I didn’t get a Tacoma my midsize choices are Ford, Chevy, and Nissan. Seeing as how I wouldn’t ever own any of those it’s pretty easy to order the Tacoma with a few unknowns. If I hate it I’d be able to offload it on the used market pretty easily. Not really any risk at all for me. I haven’t hated any of my Toyotas yet, doubt this one will change that.

He also said it would have 4 or 5 engine options.

So many 3rd Gen owner types need to realize that nobody is forcing them to buy a 4th gen. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it. But why spend your time trying to convince others not to buy something? Fuckin weird

He was sorta right, 4 different options of the same thing. But nothing like having a 4, 6, and 8 cylinder completely different engine choices.

Not sure it is the 3G people. I see a lot of Previous Gs. Also, seems like a lot of newish trolls invading.

Nobody puts down $30,000 to pre-order a vehicle because that's not how it works. But thanks for the entertainment.

Exactly. No one puts down $30,000 to buy (not pre-order) a new vehicle without first knowing vehicle facts. Like MSRP. But thanks responding to my initial post in such a "feeble way".
Oh and enjoy your cold popcorn during my entertainment.

Some vehicle order wait lists are already years long (huh?)

Yea - my neighbor woke up early one morning in 2020 and immediately contacted local Toyota dealership and said "I know I'm three, four years early" but please put me down on waiting list for 2024 Tacoma". To which the Toyota dealer representative responded "go back to sleep, contact me back in December 2023 and then get a life".

    Mostly dust and dirt.
Anyone that buys the first year of a new design is asking for trouble.
