    Not a damn thing.
Hi guys, just bought a 2023 Tacoma SR 4x4 in Barcelona Red. It's the first new car I've ever had, and only the second one I've actually ever bought myself. (First one is a Scion FR-S, with a blown motor, but it was never meant to be a streetcar).

This truck is really nice. Simple. No-nonsense (well, as close as you can get in 2023). And I'm very pleased to own it. I'm in awe of the guys who have pristine trucks that they've had for 20 years, and I'd very much like this truck to be the same thing for me. As such, I'm curious about things that you all have done/recommend to keep these trucks in top shape.

I may lift it someday, maybe tune it for a bit more offroad usage. But for right now, and for the next several years, it's my daily, and it's going to be doing a lot of highway driving, as well as spending some time on gravel and dirt roads. It might also make a trip to Big Bend pretty soon. But yeah, any recommendations you guys have to keep the rust away, the motor purring, the transmission sound, and the paint pristine, I'd be very glad to hear it.

    Pleased to be here!

Welcome to TW! Any pics of your truck? Also Fluid Film seems to be a favorite frame coating on the forum. Works great! Start now and keep at it and the frame should last!

Welcome to the party, for maximum longevity of your new ride do an early first change of all your fluids so engine oil after say 2000kms, and your driveline after 5000kms. After that just follow your "severe" service maintenance schedule, especially the traditional 8000km oil change interval with a full synthetic well known brand and you should be good to go. Enjoy your truck

congrats! I just purchased a barcelona red tacoma as well!! I pick it up on the 14th. I have a bucket of fluid film ready to spray on the bottom and plan on a ceramic coating as well. After that I will get rock sliders.
