What would you rather drive in the spring and summer, a truck that is, well, a truck and feels like a lumbering beast on the road or this that weighs less then 1/2 and goes around corners without slowing down.

Every year I swear I'm going to put more miles on the truck and I never do because once the 1st gen geezer wheezer comes out, I can't bring myself to actually lumber around with it. Sure it drives fine, no squeaks or rattles, everything works, but it's just a slug due to the weight.

I finally put new rubber on it this year [it still had the original Bridgestones on it at 30 years old and they still had no cracks] and for $10 or so for a day of country driving and twisties, it's hard to beat.20210919_132611.jpg

I used to ride, smart phones, idiots, and texters and yappers put an end to it. Not going out of this world because suzy Q is upset and texting her GF because her BF looked at another female and not paying attention to anything around her.

same here. I stopped riding once the babies showed up. Do miss it, but had way too many close calls over the years. Can't say I won't get back into it some day, but not soon

Still have a little one but I haven't ridden in awhile. I sold the V-Star a couple years ago. I couldn't even go for a 1/2 hour ride anymore without some idiot sliding over or pulling out with their eyes on their phone.

Those are BBS rims [real BBS rims before BK] and worth way more then one might think. They are not as heavy as you may think.

Right tool for the job. If I'm towing or hauling, has to be the truck. Otherwise, my car is more fun, easier to maneuver and park and better on gas.

(We won't talk about how I had to sell that car and am now stuck driving the wife's Corolla, which definitely doesn't have anything going in the "fun to drive" category.)

A few OE parts from fancy trucks

Better tires and suspension will get those corners up to 2x posted +10.

    So I've heard.

I've had this almost 25 years now, bought new in 1999. I've had four Toyota pickups and a 4runner in that same time frame.

The Toyotas come and go but this is the keeper.
