What modifications did they do to make their truck look like that?

    Hello everyone,

I’m not really going crazy to modify my Tacoma but I just want a good set of wheels. Hopefully you guys can picture what I’m about to write but here it is, or you probably have the same set up. I’ve seen plenty of Tacomas and other trucks that have a set of rims with negative offset enough to pop out just right and tires with size just enough to fill the gap between the fenders and the tires, and it makes the truck looks lowered too (I’m not sure if they put lowering springs or no, correct me if I’m wrong)

Do you guys have any idea what size of rims and tires I should get to make my truck looks like it or what kind of modifications they’ve done with their trucks to make it look like that? I wanted to take pictures of the trucks I saw in the parking lots or on the road but I didn’t to just take pictures of someone’s vehicles and start posting them somewhere online without permission or didn’t want to bother them while driving. I have a 2020 Tacoma SR 5 with stock suspension!!

Thank you and hopefully you guys pictured what I was trying to explain!

@glenntaco12 if by filling the fender wells you mean a taller tire, you could go with a 265/75R16 and a 16X8 with a 0mm offset. That would poke the assembly out by an inch and increase the height of the tire. Having a pic would also be very helpful.

Here is my 2021 SR5 with 16x8 wheels, -10mm offset. Tires are 265/75/16. I have a 2” lift though, not stock height.

You can fit 255/85/16 pizza cutters on stock suspension with no modification and they would fill up the wheel well pretty nicely.

I like sharing pictures because I recently made some smaller budget friendly mods to beef up my ride without going all monster truck rally.
