    I have a 2005 Tacoma It’s 1GR motor
    Supercharged.
it’s a daily driver with some minor off roading.
    230k miles
I was wondering what people would reccomend for a clutch replacement ?
I need something that’s easy to drive but can hold up to the torque
    What Stage ?
I was looking at URD stage 2 with hydro throw bearing setup

    any advice would be appreciated

I think the URD Stage 2 has been successful with some people but don't know if it lasts very long. Perhaps someone else can chime in.

Spec stage 2+ is a good one.

Stay far, far away from the Clutchmasters hydro bearing if that's what you are looking at. It has a terrible track record and stands a good chance of failing on you in a short time frame.

Oem clutch is fine. You gain under 100hp and foot pounds of torque. Oem clutches hold up as well as anything else.

Nope. They can die quickly, often within 10k miles of a SC install depending on how you drive. It's common.

Installed one on my 07 at 30k now at 130k still on factory clutch. Factory clutch is fine.

Worked for you I guess. I know a handful of people, including myself, where things went the way I stated. I'm good on clutches too.

Factory is fine, depending on driver. I've yet to see one go early on a super charger. Most last a long time.

I'd never suggest a super heavy clutch, unless its warranted, stage 2 or higher is a pain to drive, and tacoma is already clunky to drive.

https://urdusa.com/spec-clutch-stage-1-1gr-fe-4-0l-v6-w6-speed-transmission/ Probably this is as big as I'd go.

I personally hate blipping the throttle just to park the truck and a full leg work out in traffic.

On other models I've seen stage 3's break the plastic clutch pedal in the winter.

Na there is something else going on. If you are off roading and slipping it a lot or something then your your going to burn it out but that’s got nothing to do with the sc. the stock set up is more then capable of handling the little power bump you get. If you loose your clutch in 10k you would have lost it supercharged or not.

I've had two Tacos, one not supercharged. Don't offroad but am an aggressive driver and now heavily modded but at the time mostly stock SC'd. The clutch simply couldn't hang. I've never worn out a clutch on any other vehicle I've owned.

Not trying to argue but for me the clutch wasn't up to task.

No worries. I never take offense to other people’s opinions and experiences on here. Ultimately it’s up to the op to do his research and choose what’s right for him. For me oem works fine.

My experience with performance clutches is that they do not last. I had a Subaru Legacy Spec B, EJ255 fully modded running 21.5 pounds of boost. I went thru a Spec stage 2 and a Exedy six puck disk set up like they were made from plastic. The OE was more durable. The best clutch I had was a Clutchmasters stage 1. It took everything I could throw at it and the driveability of the unit was excellent.

Hey y’all thanks for the reply’s.
My trucks newly setup for supercharger.
The clutch was starting to go with in last yr before the supercharger was on.
OEM clutch with 225k miles on it.

I just want something that’s maintaince free and worry free for a long life span. The only off roading I do is fire roads and corn fields etc.
