I recently washed the undercarriage of my truck after a trip to the beach. The dash showed an error “2WD - 4 WD Mode change failure” shortly after.

I was going to solder the motor electrical connections and tried to disconnect the harness from the ADD module. I broke the connector catch that keeps the plug from falling off once connected. See pic of piece. Was so pissed at myself I stopped in my tracks. Reconnected the ADD wire harness and wire tied it to the plastic block to keep it connected.

Anyone know where I can get a new connector (to reinsert the wires) or the 9 inch harness that goes into the next plug?

What the f$&@!!! Toyota doesn’t solder connect the electric motor?!?!?

Solved my own issue. Many of the plugs in our Tacomas are used in several other applications. My local dealership was great. The parts desk listened to what my problem was and found the plug housing. For less than $20 and a tube of dielectric grease I’m back in business. The picture is the part number I needed for a 19 short bed.

That diagram is correct. Exactly what I did.
