I was in Placid Tuesday and enjoyed the snow. Not really. The only trail I know outside but close to ADK park is a shit show. My buddy buried his new side by side. So much mud but it looked like a lot of fun. Not sure if my Tacoma is ready for that. I am just running stock height and 32s and a front skid. I would be down for just about anything. I also need to get my girlfriend some practice in. I let her drive my Tacoma for the first time out at mom's farm today and I think she is hooked. We plan on doing Silverton and Moab this fall. TBH, I need some practice two. Still not comfortable with the tight stuff in my 3rd gen like I was in my 2nd gen. The weather looks better towards the end of the week.

I've spent a lot of time around that area snowmobiling. The owners of The Stillwater Inn (Marion & Joe) are awesome people. My wife's family used to camp on an island in the reservoir for a week each summer when she was a kid. I was over on the other side of the Tug Hill Region for the ATV SNIRT Run this past weekend with a bunch of people but not camping. I'd like to get up that way one summer and run the seasonal/dirt/logging roads in my Taco.

Everybody up there is great, my buddy's family used to own and run the gas station and B&B up there. A heads up about the dirt roads, the main road from Big Moose to Stillwater is always open, but to my knowledge there isn't a whole lot more than that dirt-wise that's publicly accessible. A lot of the side snowmobile trails are on private land that allow access during snowmobile season. That said, I haven't spent a ton of time up there so if you know things I don't, feel free to share. I can definitely recommend the Moose River Plains trail when it opens up though, it starts at the end of the Limekiln Lake road in Inlet and goes all the way to Indian Lake on dirt, with plenty of vehicle accessible campsites.

@adkmac yeah, pretty sure you can't go out to Brantingham from Old Forge the way you do on the sleds. My buddy's family has a place on the Indian Lake end of MRP and that's one of the trips I'd like to do. There's a ton of seasonal roads in Tug Hill. Nothing very challenging but a nice opportunity to leave the pavement.

I need to make up to Tug Hill for an ATV ride. Been talking about it for at least a decade.

It's cool. Mostly dirt roads but you don't need to buy a membership to ride them, just the smaller, private trails. If you ride Winona State Forest by Redfield there's some actual public trails.

I'm NY. Upstate. A little south of Lake George in South Glens Falls.

I'm also offering KDMax Pro tunes in the area now too!

Here's Grogu....because this IS the way!

No camping yet. I did get out on the Saranac River over the weekend. We usually get over to Stillwater for a weekend every 2-3 years. We're probably due for a weekend this year.

Our first tacoma is hopefully going to be home in the next couple months, so definitely looking for some places to play within a couple hours of home.

We are located in the Finger Lakes — were just up in ADK a few weeks ago to camp — brrr was it still a little cold.

I know everything is super hush hush in NY but does anyone have a beat on some fun dirt miles in the ADKs? Recently moved back to NY and I've been scoping around on maps and side stuff I see at work, I know there's tons of potential but I'd like some first-hand knowledge on stuff to check out :spy:
