What have you bought in the last 48 hours gun related?

Today, I took the KS7 to the farm and gave it (and my shoulder) a little workout. 25 rounds Remington 00 Buck, 10 rounds Federal LE133 Low Recoil Buck, and 3x Remington slugs. Reviews did not lie, as the recoil on the KS7 with full power buck (stock thin recoil pad) is UGLY. Day two mods top to bottom include: short M Lok pic rail and an Inforce 400 lumen light, M Lok QD Sockets, Magpul MS4 sling, Grip Plug with a single round holder, and a MOTac recoil reduction butt pad. The MOTac pad significantly changed the demeanor of the shotgun. Full power buck was manageable as were slugs. With the new butt pad, the LE133 Buck was tame; you could shoot it all day.

By the way, Keltec advertises that the KS7 is a 6+1, but with the Federal LE133 Low recoil it will run as a 7+1 ..... and it is shorter than my Tavor TS12

Excellent guns with the extra recoil dampening, and super easy to rack the slide, worst thing was finding mags for the longest time.

Full power buck is a beast to managed more than a few. Reduced recoil buck (FED LE133) is easy to manage and the new butt pad helps even more. I got some mini buck today to give that a try this weekend.....

How is the QD mount working? I have been looking at the new PA SLX and considering a QD

 

Haven't shot it yet but it locks up super tight. We'll see after a few range trips.

 

Picked up 1000rds of Magtech 9mm, some hunting ammo, and extra mags for a few different guns. Never shot Magtech 9mm before, but I like that their packaging is nice and compact like S&B for putting in ammo cans. CCI is the worst, their packaging for 50 rds is huge!

 

My only issue with Magtech 9mm has been hard primers. Shoots fine in most of my guns, but if you have a pistol prone to light strikes, you will have problems with it (my LC9 hates it).

 

Thanks for the heads up, I guess we'll see. Never had an issue with anything I've put through my VP9. GX4 had 2 or 3 light primer strikes on a couple boxes SAR/ZSR ammo in it's first 150 rounds, but has had no issues since with other brands, now has about 500 rounds through it. I suppose if it struggles with the Magtech it will become a range only gun or get sold.

 

Tried some of those a while back, no go for the 870. Son's RIA gobbled 'em up though. I hear they're Mossberg compatible. Really liked the more capacity angle, like to hear your experiences when you get a chance!

 

I have experience with them in a first gen shockwave. You had to use a "hardish" rubber insert that fit into the shell elevator assembly. Fun to shoot but the insert came out one day on the range, so I never trusted it again in terms of a reliable home defense option. I'm told the KS7 feeds them reliably .... so I will test that theory before considering them over LE133.
