    It's a southern thing. Most folks cut it up, batter it and fry it. Best way is to cut it lengthwise in half, drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper and bake in oven. I can eat it till I can't eat no more.

    Well I lied. A friend came over to pick beans so I did too. He quit and left with one bag full and I picked 10 gallons. Sunflowers starting to bloom.

    Mystery solved, I think. My green beans were not blooming. This is the second time I have had super healthy vines with no flowers. After a little Google fu I learned the secret hopefully.

    Once the vines get 3 or 4 feet snip the ends off with you fingernail. This redirects the energy to the buds. I got flowers within a few days.

    Edit: that's an 8' fence
