    Hello,

I’m looking for help with an issue I’m experiencing with my 2017 TRD Sport. I ran into this issue yesterday after installing a subwoofer in my truck (I know, sounds unrelated).

Here’s what happening, ever since installing my amp and subwoofer, when I turn off the truck and open the door to get out, the door ajar alarm goes off, and when I close the door, the key fob not detected alarm goes off, and it gives me trouble when trying to lock the doors. What’s strange, is that prior to this, the door alarm/key fob alarm would only go off if the truck was running and I got out of the truck with it still running.

The weird thing is that it’s been doing it randomly (not every time I turn off the truck). I tried resetting the computer by unplugging the negative terminal on the battery for a minute or two and that didn’t change anything.

Thanks in advance for any advice/help fixing this issue!

Is the amp grounded to the battery, body or chassis?

Amp is grounded to the body. But I sanded it down and made sure there was not paint on the ground point.

It’s not going into accessory mode. It shows the off screen, like “distance traveled, etc.” but it’s beeping and saying door ajar and key fob not detected. Sometimes a message pops up and say turn off vehicle, but it’s already off.

I think your engine is turning off but the electronics stay on sometimes. That's caused by the wiring either to the battery or the interior fuse box.

An example of that would be like turning the truck off while its still in drive

Any idea how to fix it?

I've gone through lot of different threads with the same issue but never found a real fix. Anyone get this issue fixed?

This exact thing happened to me once, and like you, it was driving me crazy. The issue was that the battery needed to be replaced, even though everything was working fine related to power. As soon as I replaced the battery, the problem went away. You might start by checking the battery connection at the terminals. I hope that helps.

I'll give this a try. I have been wanted to go to a dual batter system anyways, so I guess this is my excuse haha.

Replacing the Battery seemed to do the trick! I replaced it about 4 days ago and I haven't had issues since. If it comes back, I will let everyone know.
