1 - I drive so few miles that I end up getting the oil changed annually. I received eight "free" oil changes from the dealership at purchase (it was used) and figure I might as well burn through those. For reference, in each of the first two years I've owned it, I've put less than 1,000 miles a year on the truck. It was two years old when I bought it with 10K miles, I'm not quite to 12K two years after I purchased it.

2 - It came with the OEM bed mat.

3 - Stock headlights and fogs for now, but added LED bumper light bar and ditch lights (just getting started on the electrical build-out). No gremlins so far - using an Auxbeam controller/switch setup. Was going to go down the route of using relays, bus bars, and aux fuse block but available time was the main constraint. I may still switch to a full relay / fuse block setup, but until I get closer to a second battery/solar setup, I'll stick with the integrated / solid-state Auxbeam solution for now.

Truck was built in June 2018, picked it up august 2018. 45k miles on it.

The best vehicle I’ve ever owned. Decent power, surprisingly good MPGs after all the mods, looks fantastic, tons of aftermarket support, great off road and has been extremely reliable. No mechanical issues whatsoever except for the things I broke myself off-road (rear ABS wire, rear bumper)

Fuel pump recall, front sensor recall and clutch pedal recall. Otherwise just routine maintenance at severe duty schedule. Still
    on original battery.

Been through some pretty deep water crossings, water over corner over my hood once, no issues even with a stock diff breathers. Absolutely no rattles despite spending many miles on very rough roads. Clutch still feels like it did day one. I absolutely love this little truck, it took me
    to many cool places.

My biggest complaint is rear leg room but it’s a midsize truck so it’s expected, my dog doesn’t mind though :)

Folks that say 3rd gens are slow/gutless wrong engine/transmission/gearing, are out of their minds. There is plenty of power for everyday driving, if you know how to drive.

Im hoping this truck will last me 300k miles at the very minimum, time will tell.

Can’t be! According to like 90% of TW members stock batteries are garbage and only last couple years.:) Well and seats, engine, transmission, stock tires, stock suspension, stock speakers/head unit, windshield, paint, and interior plastics are all garbage as well. I’m sure I’m forgetting something.

Change oil every 10k miles whether it needs it or not. :)

78K traveling to 40 national parks and points in between. Only excitement was returning home for the fuel pump recall. Dealer didn't fasten fuel line properly and my after service fuel smell became persistent until puddle in my garage. Pitched a bitch fit at the dealership.

And again, the countless social media people beating the absolute piss flaps out of these 3rd gens without experiencing engine or transmission failure. I’m amazed. It’s extraordinary actually. Breaking stuff, yeah sure. Heavy modifications? Totally. Pushing these trucks beyond what they were designed for. Amazing.

However, this truck is not for everyone. But It sure meets our family’s needs. Does so without complaints and or issues so far. Is it perfect? As we all know, no. Also, unfortunately some folks are just plain unlucky.

6yrs and counting on my stock battery in my 4R. It would be nice for my tacoma to last as long as well. I like my chances!

I live in the northeast where we have 4 seasons, so that probably helps a lot. Heat is probably the number 1 enemy of battery life, so if your in a hot climate, don't expect a battery to last as long.

I bought a 2019 brand new. Granted it only has 19,000 miles on it, but it has ran great since pulling outa the dealer. Ran flawless on a recent 1000 mile road trip. Oh....and I left it stock....
