For perspective I have a stock 4cyc 2.3L turbo 2017 AWD car with 350hp and mixed driving I get ~21MPG. If I'm on it 19MPG, long cruising freeway trips 24MPG.
And regarding those gen4 HP claims, since its a turbo I bet there's a disclaimer like only if running 91 or 93oct, so 87oct will be less HP. In fact there's a chance the minimum octane you can put in there is 91oct, so more $$ to fill up.

Some turbo charged engines do not require you use 91 for it run efficiently though

I’m hoping for 30, but I could live with 26. My 2010 gets 20 so 26 is still a nice improvement.

I’d be tickled with 23 combined for the iForce. I’m sitting at 14ish in my ‘09 Sierra with towing gears. One of the main reasons for wanting an upgrade.

People anticipating 30mpg highway are going to be disappointed. With the large frontal area, ride heights, and tire sizes of the modern truck, you’re running into physical limitations that aren’t going to be overcome any time soon. 30mpg at any normal highway speed isn’t going to happen

Thats fair. High 20’s on the highway would be a huge improvement though

Even that’s going to be very optimistic unless you’re willing to drive 60mph. We’re talking about a truck that’s taller and wider than old full-size pickups with wide 33” tires. You’ll get your 24mpg@70mph and like it

People should expect it to land around where the new GM twins are at with the hybrid 1-2 MPGs more.

I cant see the iForce doing better than 22 MPG in combined driving. Anyone hoping to see a meaningful MPG gain over Gen3 will need to wait (and wait and wait) for the hybrid.

Exactly this. The hybrid will juice city mileage a bit, but highway will be largely untouched
