Was it hard to find parts ? Bike looks awesome. Had the same color, think I put 7-8000 miles on it in a couple of years, never saw pavement, as a kid, I had many acres of woods and fields, gravel pits to ride in. Neighbor kid had the G4, with the dual range transmission, he beat the hell out of it and it took it !

I'm still thinking on an ADV, might get one eventually. I feel like a naked sport best suits the majority of my riding at the moment. But really I want all the bikes

The 1290r is way out of my price range. I was originally looking at that one till I seen the 30k price tag. I'm enjoying the 890r but kinda kicking myself in the ass because I should have gotten the adventure model. But you live and learn. I'll pay this one off. And just buy another bike. I have a problem with not selling all my old bikes. I hold on to things like this hard for me to spend all this money and not get back what I payed.

Ohh he's the first person I'm telling he's wanted that bike since I got it. I think this will be the first bike I will sell. Has 118mi on it, aka 4 rides back in 2019 and has sat in storage since. Even has a new lithium battery.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I am looking at a 1290r. Sold the 1190r and miss the big bore too much. The newer ones have the lower tanks as well. Which is nice.

Not super hard. They used the G4/G5 100cc motor in the later KE100 through 2001 so the vast majority of parts are interchangeable and relatively common. It's a blast of a bike for its size and never gets boring to zip around on!

Yeah if I get a 1290 it would be used, I've seen a couple in the $10k range which isn't terrible.

And I hear ya, but bright side is you get to try different bikes and find what you like best. My 701 is the first bike I bought new, I paid it off already but would lose money selling it. It's fun as hell and I have the space so might as well hold on to it. I can compare it against whatever I get next then decide what to keep/sell and the cycle continues...

That's what I'm thinking, life is short and I want to ride awesome bikes while I can

This is my 1983 XT250, 40 years old this year. I’ve owned this bike for around 15 years. It’s not the fastest, it’s not that great on the street or in the dirt, it’s just simple all around fun and dependable. I’ve owned nearly 30 motorcycles and currently have 7, I think when I decide to wind things down this bike will be one of the last to go.

Depending on weather this weekend, I might tear into the bike. Ive got my air filters and coolant now. Actually need to find the bleeder screw for the coolant.

I like watching this guy's channel, but its not like scheduled videos. Anyways, he's funny to listen to

That’s funny, I actually bought the bike at a garage sale for $200 from the original owner, it didn’t look like this :) but it was complete and I could see the potential. I’ve spent the last 15 years buffing, replacing and doing just the general upkeep of it. I do have to admit that I’m kind of picky and I like to keep my bikes clean and mechanically sound.
