Small. We have a whole community named Flint Hill lol. You can find small pieces about everywhere around here. The quartz is about the size of a brick.

    Goodmorning crew.
I pretty sure mentioned it before but I found it interesting that much of the road curbs in Massachusetts were made of marble.
I wash the Tacoma this morning and straighten up the garage a little. This old table (seems old according to the tag) pretty cool. Wife brought it home was going to be thrown out.

Can`t go wrong at those prices.

I forever lose those magnet nut drivers.

Not so much lose but leave them sit where I used them last.

I haven’t heard of marble curbing down there. Crazy what they used to do.

During Boston’s Big Dig, the amount of cobblestones they dug up was amazing. So much so they were giving them away. I made a small patio out of them in the Melrose house we had. I wonder if it’s still there…

That sure looks like a baby stalagmite after only a few hundred years.

No way would I go through the City on I 95 to hit I 91

After all It is never timed event.

It all depends How I feel I made that trip many times though not for many years.

The fact I hate Interstates always factors in to which way I go.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing about going through the city.

I’m not so adverse to the Interstate system as you seem to be, I just want to be alone on them. Too many idiots and I hate left lane hangers..

So, continuing to post the great bowl build progress, with pics. Got this many sanded with 36 grit tonight with my DA sander.
A tip for those of you who have not sanded much in your life...the same sandpaper grit on different tools cuts much different!
For example, if I sand with 220 grit with my DA sander, that is equivalent to around 400 grit if hand sanding!
If I sand with 36 grit (wood shaping grit) that is equivalent to about 80 grit on a belt sander.
Orbital dual action (DA) sanders give a much finer scratch than an in line sander, be it hand, belt sander or even a grinder. So, rule of thumb, using a DA sander makes a much finer scratch than in line methods. 20230706_202622.jpg
