Lol. It’s all good, parents have to clean some nasty cleaning at least once in their kids life. But damn those engineers who makes a vehicle catered around families that make a seat that channels any fluid dropped in those stow and go seats to flow deep under the carpet.

Removed the dealer badge from the tailgate.
If they want their name on my truck, now, they'll have to pay me.
I'll settle with free oil changes for life.

    Sell it?

Halloween happened about 2 weeks after new carpet went in the house. Too many chocolate tootsie rolls went in, then out, of our 6 year old and we had that section replaced.

Nice! Curious, how long did it take? I've thought about doing that, but I've read that it's a good two hours or more including removing the headliner and such. Seems like a real pain so I've put it on the back burner.

From what I've seen online, you don't need to remove the head liner. Just take the c pillars out along with the clothes hooks in the back. Pull it down and you have access to it.

Had the recall done on my 2018 about 2 wks ago. I can’t confirm but seriously doubt they removed the headliner. The exposed part of the gasket is much larger than what came installed so they did the replacement.

I pulled the ceiling hooks and dropped the headliner to find my 2016 has no interior posts. If you look closely at the pic you see 2 external screws.
That type bolts on from the outside w/ those 2 screws. That's it. Pull it off and clean the old gasket off.
Somewhere in 2016 they changed them.
If you have interior posts it looks like a real p.i.t.a.

I thought the external screws was an access cab thing

I'm not 100% it isn't just a 2016 access cab thing. Though, some sites were referring to the trucks as 2nd gen 2016's.
Other sites were stressing to check your truck and make sure you had external screws vs. interior posts.

I have an access cab and it has the external bolts, I was too afraid to change the whole assembly so I just tinted it. Cheap easy option. Screenshot_20230707_011425_Gallery.jpg

Unfortunately ours doesn't have the external screws, so per others, the rear of the headliner has to be pulled down which means removing several other parts to access the interior bolts. Tacoma Lifestyle has a couple of decent YT DIY videos here and here. So it'll probably stay on the back burner for me, but yours looks great!

    I picked up one of these… upload_2023-7-6_23-47-8.jpg

for that box… ordered the box last night. To all that have this enclosure, I’m curious about the build quality and your opinions. Seeing how it fit in the picture with it installed now I’m a little worried about the high excursion of this woofer hitting the plastic bin, again thoughts?

last weekend installed a kicker l7t preloaded enclosure and it hasn’t been hitting as low as I would like it to… so decided to get a much nicer box and woofer.
