I recently upgraded the stock radio to a touchscreen double din radio. I noticed after I installed the radio that two (i think) bulbs are out. One in my climate control cluster where you select the fan speed on the left. And one in my dash speedometer from 20-50 mpg

I am honestly not sure if they were out before or if they were working. I haven't been driving much at night since I got it. After my install I was meticulous in checking to see if everything looked right and that's when I noticed they were out.

Is it possible that I messed something up or caused these bulbs to go out? Or is this pretty common?

Honestly you probably just unplugged something... if they did go out though you can find some replacement bulbs cheap on Amazon and the install is straight forward
