    Picking up a new 3gen tomorrow and the only surprise on the final paperwork is an optional +$750 for Recovr, which seems similar to lojack. Apparently it lets you track the vehicle if stolen.

    My gut response is a pretty fast 'no thanks' to this, but given I haven't really heard much about it, I wonder if it has any advocates?

    That's a big NO from me.
    I would not accept that from the dealer, if anything I would install my own LoJack or maybe even an air tag (if you have an iPhone) to track the vehicle if stolen.
    I have had both of my trucks stolen :(

    How’s crime in your area? Could be nice if you are concerned about that type of thing.

    My cellular remote start module also shows where my truck is on a map and lets me lock and unlock it…. No $5000 if it’s stolen and not recovered though lol.

    Yep had to do some legwork to get my spec at MSRP. For me it took 3 weeks of hunting around California to make a connection that stuck.

    my local dealer (SB) insisted on +$3k, highest markup in 500 mi search. drove to sac area instead.

    first time here looking up what the toyota connected app does. the manual says it gives last parked location when in cellular range. does the toyota app also give realtime location info?

    fwiw this is a TRD OR with premium package which includes the tech package.
