Title isn’t great, but bear with me.

I currently run 6-7 positive caster via the lower arms for tire clearance. I thought I had a handle on caster until I read positive caster via the upper arm makes for worse tire clearance.

Anyway with the caster I have my camber is -1.5* so I want to fix that. The alignment shop suggested 4 turns out on the rear joint and 2 on the front (said I could go 2x those but I figured I’d play it safe with half that). I’m guessing this might give me even more caster along with fixing the camber?

Anyway, before I go to the trouble of cutting off my upper arm bolts to adjust them, will those adjustments do what I need? Obviously fixing the camber will happen, but not sure about the caster.

Why do you need to cut the bolts? Just slide them out lol.
Adjusting camber off of the uca with heims doesnt really effect camber, unless you unevenly adjust the heims front/rear.
4 turns out on the rear, and 2 on the front will correct camber, and slightly, slightly lower castor (thus pushing the tire a cunt hair forward)

The bolts…well I initially cut them off because I couldn’t slide them out the factory way. Tried bending sheet metal but no luck. So I installed a set “upside down” to factory. Later I welded in a bypass hoop that now blocks the bolts from sliding out. So I have to cut them again and put that back in the factory direction.

I guess as long as I’m not losing any wheel well clearance shouldn't matter. Key word there is slightly lower. More forward the better for me.

Any update on adjusting the uca heims? I'm in the process of trying to dial in my set up.

AFAIK, primary adjustments on heim UCAs use, misalignment spacers for caster adjustment and the heim joints for camber.
