Door match 2008-2014

We have a 2008 Access Cab Tacoma that needs a door replaced - we located one from a 2014 Tacoma as well as another from salvage off a 2008 crew cab. Salvage tells us the crew cab door should fit but as the access cab door doesn't fit the cab the same direction as a crew cab door we feel this is likely incorrect information. So we're hoping the 2014 from an access cab will work on a 2008. Can anyone confirm that for us? Or confirm if a crew cab door will or won't fit an access cab? Thanks in advance!

 

I assume you are replacing a front door on your access cab. I don't think a front door from a crew cab will work as a front door on an access cab due to the center pillar where the door latches on the crew cab. There is no center pillar on an access cab.

Check car-parts.com for the parts avail closest to you and call the vendor.

 

Thanks - that's what we were thinking; second part of question then is looking for confirmation a door from a 2014 would fit a 2008 - do you have any idea? We are aware of one we can get ahold of just want to be sure it would work on the older model

 

My guess is yes. 08 to 14 had some nose changes but the doors back look the same to me but its my best guess. The fenders are the same. The Hood is different and the grille and headlights. Your 2008 could get a 2012-15 nose job, you just have to change out the parts.... so I assume the door is exactly the same on both. Good luck
