Yesterday I replaced the original front "skids" with the 1/4" Aluminum TRD option. The original 2 pieces were less than 2 pounds combined, the TRD version is ~28 pounds per my scale.

I finally installed an LED light strip under the hood. Wiring and electrical stuff has always been one of my weaknesses but I promised myself I'd try to get better at it this year. The install was pretty easy! For $13, this thing is super bright.

1983 restoration in progress, major mods so far new 6" lift and 35" Mickey Thompsons.
I've got a '16 that just like you is mostly stock, not driven much, but now that I'm driving it more I've started with the mods. Already in hand, VLed foot well lights, Pro grille (never was crazy about the Limited grille), Germes Lab front camera, Redarc trailerbrake adapter, 2lo kit, and sequential mirror turn signals. Still deciding on the lift and tires, but that will be awhile down the road. Like you, feels like a new truck!

The weather said 15% chance of rain, so I decided to install my new Form Lighting headlights... I finished just in time. For SR5 owners wondering, these lights are a direct plug n play. They include the harness needed to make the LED running lights work.

Looks awesome. Going to have to keep this set in mind for down the road. I definitely want to upgrade my SR5s halogens someday.

Thanks! I'll see how they are later tonight, but from the reviews and vids I saw on YT the output looks MUCH better than stock. I have terrible vision at night and the OEM lights even with brighter bulbs were just not cutting it for me.

I've had the wireless carplay adapter for a couple weeks now and it is working flawlessly. Thanks @TRDRed. I have the tape to tape it up under where the QI charger is, but I think I like this way better and won't have to worry about putting stress on the port of the truck from bending the wire under and it's easily removable. Just a 90 degree adapter from Amazon.

Happy to be of service! It's been a few months and our wireless Car Play adapter is still working fine as well.

Thought about the stress on the port as well, but the adapter's wire is pretty flexible so no problems with mine. On the recommendation of @chstaco I've ordered a USB adapter that'll plug into the back of the stereo (where the USB port in the dash is connected now) which will allow me completely hide the Car Play wireless adapter behind the dash. The USB dash port will be "dead" but it's no longer needed with the Car Play adapter anyway. When I go to sell the Taco I can just remove the adapter and reconnect the stock wiring. I get a little OCD about those sorts of things, so that'll tidy it up a bit. :p The adapter is coming from Ali-Express so it'll be a few weeks before it shows up, but once I get that done I'll post a few pics.

    Enjoy! :rockband::headbang:

These are really nice. How much? Was the install difficult?

Well today I did quite a few things .. none worthy of photos.

    Changed oil/filter
    Rotated tires/cleaned up suspension
    Checked/filled fluids
    Touch up/re-painted exhaust
    Touch up/re-painted rear hubs
    Mavcoat the entire undercarriage/fenders

So far after 3 years and 50k my truck is basically rust free. It still looks new underneath.

I'm hoping to keep this thing for another 20 years.

$250 for the cab mount relo kit. Install price will vary depending on your location and shop. I did not do the install.

had to open up the hole a bit for the Jl to fit. But wasn’t too big of a deal. Got it all fit and installed while my wife was out with some friends.

sounds much better than the kicker L7 8”
So I’ve effectively got a JL stealth box for a little more than half price. The only thing I’m missing are the brackets that come with the stealth box. It should sound just a little better once it’s mounted nice and tight.
