It’s definitely a time consuming hobby. I do a lot of loading in the winter when there ant much going on.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Was talking with one of my co-workers yesterday before we went out. He was telling me he's got surgery scheduled for next month on his wrist, he'll be off for 3 months, getting back late Nov or early Dec, then he's retiring 1st of Jan. Said he's not looking forward to Dec because it was so hard coming back to work this Jan after similar surgery on his other wrist last year. He said he's so ready to get out of the truck after 40 years, doesn't enjoy it anymore, he's worried every day that some asshat is going to take him out.

We left the same previous employer 3 weeks apart about 2 years ago. I told him that at least he's not driving 300+ miles a day anymore and with spending more time in town, if there is a wreck, chances are it won't be as bad. He agreed but he'd rather walk away without the wreck.

About 34 more weeks for me. :fingerscrossed: Enjoy the weekend (they're always too short).

Driving isn’t as fun any more. I’m thinking about doing something else with my life. I’m running 500 miles plus a day.

Yeah as much as I like driving big trucks it's getting old for me too. 4 years to go for me. The pinhole of light at the end of the tunnel is getting bigger now. Idiots on the road are one thing, company bs is another. And then there's 2 faced asshat coworkers and crappy worn out equipment.........and you really start to get tired of working for a living. Retirement and working part time at something enjoyable sounds good right now.

No, the ones I'm talking about are old arrogant 2 faced ass kissing pricks that will throw you under the bus in a heartbeat if it makes them look good.
At my age my tolerance for that kind of shit is all but gone. I love to call them out right to their face and watch them squirm.
I'm working on my exit strategy not my kiss ass so I can stay strategy.

I don’t think I’ll ever be lucky enough for winning the lottery. I can’t even win on scratch tickets.

Nice truck! I like the bumper. Usually not a fan but that has clean lines without being/looking oversized and bulky.

Thank you! I think it’s just enough. With the 285s I needed the room in the front it was rubbing big time.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
August 1st should be very interesting!

I always knew the package delivery side sucked. The trailer side used to be quite good many years ago.

Driver facing dash cams and GPS tracking and sensor readouts .

I got so used to sleeping in a running truck I would wake up at home thinking the truck shut off because the fuel jellied that was exciting.

I always had the desire and urge to go back on the road come fall . Not so much for several years now.

Day 2, gonna be hot again, humid with a chance of afternoon thundershowers. I know how to make it rain, just wash and ceramic coat your personal vehicle, lol.
