Been searching and can't really find a solid answer. Re wiring a trailer and instead of the 4 pin this one will have the 5 pin with the blue reverse light wire. Yes I will be using an adapter from the round 7 pin to convert it to flat 5. My question is what wattage led lights are people using for trailer reverse lights? Or what is the max amp draw that can be used for the trailer harness.

Believe this would be close tomthe same wattage that I am seeing used foe the additional reverse lights thst go around the reciever and I believe those are 60watts. (I don't plan to go 60watts)

    Thanks

If you have the factory Tow package, the trailer lights are on a separate fuse from the rest of your taillights. Answer would be in your owner's manual.

I ran a 12 gauge (or 10, I don’t remember) cable from the battery to the back with an inline fuse. Add a relay for the reverse light. Run a bigger wire if you have other plan in the future. For me, 12 gauge for lightning and reverse is enough.

Didn't want to run a wire tbh. Been through that with CBs and stereo systems before. Going to go a different route and just run a set of aux lights off a battery in the boat/trailer.
