I purchased an ARE CX shell a few years back. I wanted the sliding windoors, but apparently they stopped offering the sliding windoors as an option for DBSB Tacomas a year prior (my bad luck!) now that I’ve had the shell a few years, it’s confirmed for me that I really could use the sliding windoors instead of the ones I have, in order to keep my dogs cool in the bed. I’d be willing to trade and possibly offer cash on top to anyone with a similar shell that doesn’t need the sliding functionality.

located in Houston, TX, but I travel to Austin for work once or twice a month. Ideally someone located nearby so we can test out the fitment.

    thanks!

Wish you were closer to GA. I’d take you up on that trade. Although I think the windows on my ARE Overland topper are a touch shorter than your CX.

Probably right. Man I like the look of that overlander. I came THIS close to getting that model myself when I got mine. I still don’t know why I didn’t. I really like the semi retro look it has

Ironically this model wasn’t my first choice. I bought it secondhand. The black accents have certainly grown on me though.
