    Good evening folks.
I'm working on putting this 01 prerunner 2.7, 2wd together. My issue it's that I bought it without the engine just the transmission..I have a engine ready to drop but I noticed that some parts of the harness has plugs and missing wires..so my question it's the engine I took from a 00 2.7 manual 4x4 would the engine harness be plug and play or it's different? I don't want to have to cut or rewire on that harness I prefer to find another one but just curious if this will work..
    Thank you

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
The only way to really know 100% is have the Electrical Wiring diagrams from both years and go circuit by circuit and compare things.

It will be different enough to be quite frustrating.

just auto to manual ECMs are different. Plus the transmission and starting circuits.

The quick answer is yes they are different. The manual transmission engine harness does not have all the same connections that the automatic trans mission harness has. Your best bet is to get the matching harness for your set-up.
