@DetroitDarin I went into discount and they have no problem with bigger tires. But is 1/2" really going to make a difference. Probably not. It's my daily driver so I don't want to lose to much of that. After this season I'm going to start looking at other jobs and most probably won't have housing unless I stay in this area or go further north. Those clubs typically have housing. I'm thinking I might just stay at stock size, truck is so capable as is.

Wife & I went to the old Star theater down in town to watch a movie because rain was forecasted for today. We come out of the theater to sunny skies so now we're exploring some WV back roads along the Cacapon river. I love getting lost on these roads.

 

Great job! I keep my eyes peeled for something like that, I got a very used WHITE brand 38" mower for $200 right after settlement 3 years ago. It's time for a 42" deck and something without a CVT style trans.

I had 245/75/17 on my '15 base model and I could feel the difference of a 1" taller tire on hills on the highway, that minor difference in tire height made the truck feel a bit (more) sluggish. I was surprised by that.

 

I was out in Western MD today, drove 68 both directions and now I see what you mean about the pavement!

It almost makes mowing the lawn fun.

 

When I was looking for a cabin for weekend getaways neighbors was #1 on the "must not have" list and a lawn was a close 2nd. I already had a lawn to maintain at my Baltimore house, I didn't want a 2nd one. I love my dirt & rocks lol.
