The Ol' 2015 steering wheel is showing wear from my kung fu grip & UV rays . Any tips on a good steering wheel cover or repair ?

I’m waiting to hear suggestions about steering wheel covers too. I’m looking for something wrap around leather.

I installed a wheelskins cover on my wife's prius and it's really nice. Way nicer than the cheap ones that slide around from the big box store. Costs more and takes a bit to install but worth it! Their website is a bit outdated but you'll get what you order.

Has anyone tried taking this to an upholstery shop to see if they can remove and replace it with something similar to OEM?

I took mine to a local upholstery shop in Virginia . They were not interested . Ive seen some videos on Youtube where they sand the leather & re dye . Im not sure how that would turn out with my limited skills tho .

I bought this alcantara cover, feels great in the hand. had to pull the wheel off and tediously hand sew the thing on but it was worth the trouble. ive never sewn like that before so it took a while, I got most of the wrinkles out except around the audio controls panel.
