Is a bezel ring needed for grill change out

    I have a 2023 Toyota Tacoma SR5 and I am going to change the grill. My question is do I still need the bezel ring with the new grill?

    Welcome to TW, the new grille should come with one and you should have the option of chrome or color matched surround. That’s how mine was but I have a 2nd Gen and I’m not real familiar with the 3rd Gens.

    The answer is it depends.

    I forget when the grille changed (202x-something) but the newer Tacomas no longer come with the bezel ring: its integrated into the stock grille as one piece.

    However, it really depends on what grille you are buying. The pro grilles do not require the bezel ring. Some aftermarkets do, and many of the pre 202x-something stock SR5/OR/Sport also do.
