Just got word one of my buddies passed away, unfortunately I hadn't seen him in awhile.
Great guy, had his issues like some of us. Had it in 4th gear a great amount of his life and his foot to the floor.
He'd give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. "RB Gravy" was a living, breathing "Big Lebowski" and didn't care who knew it. Some of the guys would get pissed at his antics. Like driving the beer truck into the ravine when we were camping at the desert. Or how a case of Coors Light would magically find its way into his crappy van when it was supposed to go elsewhere. He carried a beat up little cooler with him, a beer in hand and at least a 6 pack on ice. If he showed up in your driveway, you knew it was going to be awhile before he went home.
Some of the guys thought he wasn't too bright. "RB" actually went to a well known Eastern University on an Athletic Scholarship. Didn't finish....He was the only other guy I know that had ever read "A Confederate General in Big Sur". See you on the other side "Dude"

He went into rehab at one point, while he was away his wife sold the house, moved and got rid of all of his belongings. He referred to her a "Jezebel" after that. She really was a Saint for putting up with all of his B.S. for years.

That was his moniker. RB for his initials. "Gravy" because of the way he looked at life?

Always sad to lose a friend but it’s sounds like he lived a happy life.
