I do not, but this has also crossed my mind.

They don't make a DCLB bolt on slider, only weld on ones. I really want the bolt on ones.

Yeah, I definitely didn't want uni-balls in this climate.

What kind of joints does SPC use?

Remington Auto Salvage in Eau Claire will now have 3 available at $163ea off this truck.

(Not mine, needed one for a spare to fit spacers. Was told spare wheel won't fit on spacers.)

SPC uses SPC's own ball joint confabulation. In theory they are a clever design. In the real world apparently they are not.

Hmmm.. not exactly in my neck of the woods, but could activate the TW Express.

I just looked up wheel specs for the OEM Off Road wheels and they're only 7" wide and the tires I was looking at fit 7.5" - 9.5"... (Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT 285/75R16). I'll either have to look at new rims or different tires I guess.

Yes. Pretty sure 265/75r16 is about as big as it gets on the 7"

That's unfortunate with the SPC joint. Must be the newer ball joints that's having issues. I bought my SPC uppers April of 2018 and moved them from my last truck to my current and have over 45,000 combined miles on them. I also grease them every 5,000 miles and after every off road trip.

I hope they don't wear out and I have to replace them with the fail prone newer ball joints.

Just kinda thinking. After my truck gets tinted there will be very few things that I would like to do to my truck. I would like to get it lifted but I am not entirely sure if I want to with some of those issues that can arise with lifting the truck. Plus I dont want to spend an arm and a leg

I'm new to lifts so I went the cheap route to see if I'd even like it before spending the money to do it right.
I'm confident cheap is ok if we're predominantly road warriors with some light offroading to the secret fishing spots.
Now I know what the 2.5" height gives so when I decide to replace front shocks I'll know which route to go.

This guy put 285's on the stock 7" wheels. I'll do the same when the time comes.[IMG]

Better check and make sure your shop will before buying them. 7.5 is manufacturer recommended so not sure all shops will install them
Unless you know a guy that knows this guy?

Sure, maybe, but in the spirit of this forum thread, if the specs say I need new rims, well, who am I to argue with that?

If you get new tires you have to get new rims. It's written down somewhere in fine print.

    May I suggest Ray10s

It's only an arm and a leg.
    You got 2 of each.

That's what I'm here for, the mods and the gear.
I just so happen to have mine, if this is what you're looking for.

Edit: I continued reading the thread and saw people already got you buying tires AND wheels.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
I'm currently on spacers in front and blocks in back. It's adequate but not ideal for wheeling, especially with the extra weight of skids/sliders/bumper/winch. Gave me the look I was after but it's time to go with proper springs and shocks.

Oh there will be some mods all right
As long as you go with a mild lift like 2 inches front and rear you shouldn't run into all that many problems associated with lifting although your mileage may vary because each truck seems to be a little different from each other. There are some very affordable ways to have a competent riding lifted truck, especially if you only are leveling it and not lifting the rear.

You got me thinking...I've been wanting to get a full-sized spare. The posted wheels in Eau Claire are good, Cousineau Auto in Appleton has two for $175 each and looking on fleaBay, there's a place out of Anaheim has several for $150 to $160 with free shipping.

Thanks, I was hoping to stop the bank account hemorrhaging. Who am I kidding?
