I went to put the side rail for a tonneau back on the bed mounting points and found significant interference.

I did stand and briefly rest things on the top rails lately since the cover was off which maybe shifted it some. But there are several holes on both sides that have significant interference when trying to install the screws, enough that would jack up the threads if I force it. Prying the sheet metal up to align will spring back as soon as the punch is removed.

The obvious quick fix is drill out and paint edges. Is there any practical adjustments to be made to the rear side panels to align them instead?
