So this is probably stupid and has probably been asked a thousand times, but Google isn't giving me any answers...

Are the transmission drain and fill plug the same type, and are they the same type as the oil drain plug? I have a 2WD 1997 3.4L if that helps, and I believe I have a R150 transmission.

Wow hard question to answer .

Always remove the fill plug first***

Being the truck is this old they might have been changed.

You should have a Hex head plug or a Allen head plug .

24MM for the Hex Head plug 6 point for sure. 10 MM allen head make sure to clean out the hole the plugs tend to strip quite easy.

I should have been more specific. I meant the threading, are they all 12x1.25?

I ask because whatever genius mechanic changed the transmission fluid last stripped the fill plug so I need to buy a new one before changing the fluid.
