    I always leave the heat turned up and fan on full blast when turning off the vehicle. When you hit the auto start later it will start up and blow gradually warning air across the glass rather than waiting for it to warm up and then hitting the cold glass with a blast of hot air.

    Totally agree. I use my block heater as much as possible but it should never be a necessity. Especially if there's a emergency of some sort, power outage, etc. I want to know I can start my truck at any time. No piss match... Just peace of mind.
