This question is more out of curiosity than a “what’s wrong?” question.
Anyway, after about 180 miles of owning my 23 OR I swapped wheels/tires with the set I had on my SR that I sold. I was prepared to take it to a shop to have the sensors programmed to the truck but was surprised there was no light and I got a pressure reading on the dash but about a week later the light comes on with a message that the TMPS system isn’t working after I cleared the message the light went off and hasn’t been on since but I no longer get a reading on the dash.
I guess I’m just curious as to why the warning light doesn’t stay lit when the sensors are obviously not working? These are after market sensors.

I don’t have any answers as to why it’s happening but if you happen to figure it out, there’s a lot of people that would like to know how it was done. There’s guys floating around here who keep a pvc pipe bomb under their seat with their sensors in it to avoid that light.

    It was a 2020 4x4 2.7L. The sensors are Redi-Sensor brand

Are your old wheels/tires sitting near where you park the truck? Might be picking them up and thinking everything is good while you're home and not missing the reading for long enough to throw the error while you're driving around.

That’s what I thought at first, when I first swapped the tires and got the reading the old tires were nearby.
The old tires are long gone, I don’t have a reading or a light now. Like I mentioned the light only came on once accompanied with a warning message on the dash, once I acknowledged/cleared the warning the light went off and never came back but I don’t have a PSI reading either

I almost did this, but learned to live with my light on. My OCD is not as bad as others thankfully.

Give it time it will come on again. Sometimes it takes awhile.
