do tacoma tow ratings need to be adjusted for wind or altitude?

    1. for the stated tacoma tow ratings/payload/tongue weight rating, do you need to adjust those numbers for drag that is experienced at highway speeds?

    2. Do you need to adjust above numbers for altitude? If so by how much?

    My opinion is, the Tacoma is over rated for towing. Period.
    I don’t like towing anything over 4,500 lbs.

    You can to up to the 6,400 max. But you and the truck both won’t like it.
    You are going to have the throttle buried towing 6,400 in a head wind up hill.

    Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
    No the only thing you will see is a very drastic decrease in fuel mileage .

    Then there is Towing and just moving from point A to B.

    I love my Tacoma and understand we at times need to do what we need to.

    For serious Towing I use my F250.

    Remember it is never going up the hill it is going down that can go so bad.
