Hey tacoma world! I'm going to be listing my 1st gen and want to see what a fair price for this rig is.
It is a 1995.5 5 speed with a swapped 3rz-fe. The motor came out of my 1997 so the big difference is it is a coil pack set up.
It is bone stock, never lifted.
Sitting on 2023 tacoma trd take offs.
The body and frame are a 9 out of 10.
THERE IS NO RUST! NOT EVEN SURFACE RUST.
it had popped the original engine 6 years ago and was put into storage until this year.
I'm not sure where to start with this one but everyone that looks at it says it's the cleanest original as far as body and frame.
Paint isn't perfect but its all there
I'll update with pictures as well

Yeah...that sounds like a bunch of other Tacoma's on the market.

No pics, people won't even bat an eye.

Only worth what someone will pay. Clean or not, Its still a 27.5 year old vehicle with a replaced motor.

    Good luck with your sale.

Ya, I get that, just seems like around here the prices are crazy for what I would consider wheeling rigs.

Yeah but you're just asking for an honest opinion, and you've disclosed that in your initial thread which removes any ill-intent on your end.

Not to mention you are already above the required 50 posts to sell something in the BUY/SELL/TRADE section.

You want an opinion on your vehicle's market value, post multiple pics, as you are entitled to receive any help anyone here can offer.

I'm really just looking to get some averages, I don't want to post it for more than what a 27 year old truck should be, also don't wanna sell it short.
Obviously there is a following for these, it was alot easier to price my e 30 because there were so many similar examples for sale.
This isn't a let's make a pile o cash and run thread, rather a let's not possibly screw someone that could be an enthusiast

Just going off your little info on your profile, I'd say between $4,500 - 6,500 depending on mileage, condition, etc.

See, the paint job looks great at that distance.

That'd be an awesome, reliable little daily for anyone.

If the frame is clean, not to mention all other parts underneath, and she runs well, I'd be on the higher end of my estimate.

Just paid a visit to the very accessible and easy to navigate KBB website and private party in excellent condition (less than 2% of examples) the average price was $5600.

I have a sneaky suspicion you will think its worth more money.

I did that also lol. I think that is reasonable, I also know that I haven't seen 1 this clean for that price, hence the question
My initial gut feeling is to post it up for 7500 and realize that haggling is part of selling things.

It really is a great little truck. I want to get back into a 4 runner. It's really hard to take the kids wife and dog on trails with that....... hahaha

Plenty are priced appropriately; the many that flood the market (at high prices) are those not selling.

I'm on 3 different Toyota groups for buying/selling and when a vehicle pops up that's priced ridiculously high, all the comments flood in (but they're right).

Out of every 3-4 vehicles posted, 1 is priced appropriately.

Great place to buy a vehicle with a ton of pics/info listed on each one.

I guess im only seeing the ones that are priced sky high. Even at the KBB suggested price and understanding the current market ... the majority of asking prices are crazy for something that is almost 30 years old and wasnt anything special to begin with.

I'm on the 4Runner forum too, and it amazes me how other people have this perceived value of things as well.

Long story short, what is actually a $5k rig and another a $10k rig, this guy thought was worth $15k and $20k.

When I told him the figures that they should be, he mentioned BAT, and all this other BS only to tell him I found my friend that same 4R but in CA (so, mint frame) for only $7,500.

Apparently I'm a liar, but he's on this very forum.

Anyway he didn't believe me and I told him by his logic I should've sold my 4Runner for $20k since I had King 2.5 front/back, Sherpa Rack, extended CV axles, custom control arms, panhard bar and more.
