Anyone regeared for more top end speed?

Thinking about chucking some 2.93 gears in my truck. Hoping to break 200mph.

You should have bought a 2nd gen.

 

you'll need to supplement the higher gear ratios with running Only Dale Earnhardt Octant booster, full tank.
Then you'll require minimum of Punisher stickers and Monster energy stickers, MINIMUM 2 each for optimal engine tuning.

Any anime decals or the like will decrease your HP by 10%. be very careful and supplement 2 Monster or Punisher stickers per Anime sticker. Truck nuts should neutralize the effects of Anime stickers completely.
Choose wisely.

 

Stock Tacoma top speed is governed to 113 mph according to Car and Driver testing. 113 x 3.91 / 2.93 = 151 mph.

Fastest car ever with the 2GR is the Lotus Evora GT430, which develops 400 hp from the supercharger. It tops out at 196 mph.

 

The gears won't dictate the mph unless it's just to bypass the computer, which I'm sure could be done directly. I'd go with 5.29s for any tacoma needs.

With 5.29s, you'd get these rpms with 33s:

148mph 4625rpm
199mph 6219rpm

With 5.29s, you'd get these rpms with 31s:


151mph 5023rpm
199mph 6620rpm

And you're not getting anywhere near 199mph lol

I wonder how hard it is to find a reasonable "truck" tire that can go over 150mph.
