How long should dealer frame rust prevent spray take under earrsnt

Just took 2016 AC sport for warrant frame spray rust prevention and they said it would take at least 1 week. Seems kind of slow? At least I got a Camry loaner how do I get my paddle board to the beach?

 

Be happy you got a loaner, many do not.

 

Like with paint, the longest steps are prep work. You don't want them just "sealing in the flavor." Then there's secondary coats or more and time to dry between to consider as well.

 

Mine was done while I waited. I was told they dried the boxed sections.

 

When I had this done to my 2010 as part of the Toyota service campaign, they actually removed the bed in order to get complete access to the rear sections of the frame.

I remember it took several days to get my truck back. At least I got a new Tacoma as a loaner.

 

As an aside, is there a new service campaign to spray the 3rd Gens?

 

Not for 2018+. In late 2017 Toyota corrected this at the factory. The front box section is sealed off with a cap and rubber plug/hole that they spray cavity wax into and coat the entire frame. Then the c portion of the frame where all the joints are are sealed with heavy duty silicone/caulking material.
