Hey! So I’m planning on upgrading my stock leaf springs with a full RXT icon pack (prob option 2 unless that’s silly and should go with 3). With that, I’m looking at the archive u-bolt flip kit (option 3).

Unfortunately my simple brain is a little lost looking at shocks and coils to go with it. Don’t want crazy rake after installing leafs.
More of a weekend warrior kinda truck because it’s also my daily driver. Mainly camping on weekends no no crazy wheeling at all. Truck is always running a bed rack with RTT, looking at getting new bumpers in future as well.

Currently running 5100’s in front and rear, with (I believe?) stock coils in the front.

Thanks in advance everyone who’s smarter than I am haha I’m open to everyone’s ideas and opinions. Love photos of y’all’s setups as well! :)

Hola! We can solve this problem easy enough. You may already know this, but I'll just toss this out there to make sure you're in the know that shocks do not provide lift. What we're doing in a rear shock situation is putting a shock in there that isn't so long that we might collapse it during full compression, but long enough that as the suspension droops we have a shock that can reach far enough do to get good articulation in the axle! With that out of the way, here's some options.

What we don't know is how much lift you want, but based on what you've shared for gear + what you're thinking for RXT Option I can make a decent guess that you are probably looking for somewhere around 1.5-2" of front lift from stock.

Rear shocks - As you have guessed, the 5100 rears are a little short for the additional travel provided by the RXT leaf packs. The 5100 equivalent to put there now would be the Bilstein 5125. It is essentially an extended length 5100, and comes in at a similar price point. The next step up, and the most common pairing that we sell is the Bilstein 5160. Larger body, remote reservoir for additional oil capacity to reduce shock fade, etc. All of the goodies for a weekend warrior build. Then you can start to go from there into the 2.5" body shocks and what not should you decide you really need to go fast.

Front shocks - Since you likely have stock coils on 5100s they can be adjusted up to 2" by adjusting the circlip positions. The upgrade to this would be to get a lift spring so that you can have the lift, and maintain all of the 5100s travel characteristics. If you want to upgrade from there you can always go to a 6112.

If you have any more questions feel free to give me a call here at Hotshot Offroad (406-936-0206). Happy to help answer any questions, and happy to help you get all of the parts for your build (RXTs as well).
